This charity fundraiser raises money that benefits children’s programs with the Sonshinehaven.org (an after school program), all programs and services offered by Skyline Sports and Rescue Task Force, a world relief organization. THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF THIS AWESOME RACE!
Schedule
Events start at 12:00 p.m., with the potential for wave starts for the 5K individuals and teams. (5K ind. 12 pm; 5K teams 1:00 pm; all times approximate). The youth mini-mud will take place after the prior races are finished, approximately 2:00 pm. Bag check-in, t-shirt pickup and customer service tents open at 9:30 am. Due to the added excitement and location of this event we suggest arriving no later than 10:30am to the course location.
Course
This is the San Diego Mud Run! The Mud Run is a challenging course with hills, mud pits, obstacles, hay hurdles, tunnel crawls, and did we mention countless mud pits. Along the course there will be water stations with medical personnel staged at each. A hint: Loose clothing and pockets hold mud! View course map at (www.sandiegomudrun.com)
Directions, Parking & Shuttles
The San Diego Mud Run will be located on the grounds of Skyline Church in the Rancho San Diego area of East County at Hwy 94 and Jamacha Blvd. 11330 Campo Rd. La Mesa, CA 91941. Parking will be at Cuyamaca College (www.cuyamaca.edu) approx. 1 mile east of race location. You will then be shuttled to the race location. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU ARRIVE AT CUYAMACA COLLEGE NO LATER THAN 10AM. RACE EVENT PARKING SIGNS WILL HELP GUIDE YOU!
Rules
Sorry, there are NO RACE REFUNDS and race numbers are non-transferable – only you can wear your race number. Sorry, no dogs, baby strollers or baby joggers on the course. However, all are allowed at the race site. No drugs or alcohol allowed at event. Anyone found under the influence will not be allowed to participate and will forfeit all race fees.
Special Team Instructions
If you are substituting a team member, have the new team member sign the online event waiver. This waiver closes two weks prior to the event date. After this date, all 4 members of your team will need to sign the waiver on race day together, regardless of which members have previously signed – no exceptions.
There is no charge for team member substitutions.
Division
You can race as an individual in your age group or as a 4-person team (all 4 members must compete and finish together to be eligible for timing and awards.)
Categories
For individual entrants, age groups are divided into 5-year categories, 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+. For 4-person teams, categories are Male, Female, Coed.
T-shirt Pick-up & Gear Check-in
Race t-shirts must be picked up prior to the start and you must have your race number to get your t-shirt – no exceptions. Pickup starts at 9am. There will be a secured bag check-in next to the t-shirt booth to drop off your gear.
Post Race Festivities
Music, plenty of food, and drinks will be available at the post race festivities. Open showers and closed changing tents to get clean will be available on the upper race zone.
Results/ Awards/ Photos
Awards given to the top 3 overall finishers as well as the top finisher in each division (subject to change). Results post 5:00pm race day and photos the week following the event.

Fees:
5K – $40 per person from 1/11 through 3/18, $50 after 3/18.
Kids Mini Mud – $10.
Note: any changes from teams to individuals will be charged a $5 transfer fee.
